Новгородское Рахманиновское общество создано в результате работы группы экспертов по защите российского национального достояния - памятника истории и культуры Родовой усадьбы гениального русского музыканта Сергея Васильевича Рахманинова.
Проект "Возродим Онег! Концепция воссоздания усадьбы Онег как пилотный проект использования объекта культурного наследия в целях устойчивого развития территории" осенью 2013 года поддержан Правительством Новгородской области.
В ходе защиты памятника мы увидели актуальность его возрождения для процветания России несмотря на его плачевную сохранность. Поэтому введение в общественный и туристский оборот нематериального и материального наследия Сергея Рахманинова на новгородской земле является стратегическим активом для устойчивого развития местных поселений Новгородской области.
